WHO WE ARE
ABOUT THE CLUB
The Wire Lion Engineering Club at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is a student-led organization dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning in electrical and computer engineering. Founded in 2025, the club brings together students with a shared passion for circuit design, microcontrollers, programming, and applied engineering projects.
Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where members of all skill levels, beginner to advanced, can gain practical experience, strengthen technical knowledge, and build leadership skills. The club provides opportunities to work on projects ranging from simple logic circuit builds and Arduino applications to more advanced digital systems and Verilog designs.
“From logic circuits and Arduino to digital systems and Verilog.”
Beyond technical growth, the Wire Lion Engineering Club emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and professional development. Members collaborate on real-world inspired projects, prepare for competitions, and network with peers, faculty, and industry professionals. With over 60 members and a growing base of active participants, we aim to inspire future engineers by connecting classroom theory with practical application.
By combining creativity, mentorship, and community, the Wire Lion Engineering Club empowers students to explore their potential, contribute to meaningful projects, and prepare for careers in engineering and technology.
